Wendy Barber trained in Fine Art at the Slade School of Art.

Wendy Barber has an interest in many aspects of the visual arts and apart from painting she has expressed her ideas working as an illustrator, in fashion design, as a tapestry weaver and as a ceramic designer. Wendy's work, figurative in origin, demonstrates a very direct response to her subject. This is true whichever media she chooses to work in - hence her tapestries are textural, her ceramics bold and her paintings supremely painterly.

Wendy is now concentrating on her painting. Her love of the sea and the Dorset countryside is celebrated in these most recent pictures shown here.

Wendy also undertakes commissions by arrangement.
