The Dorset Gap and Higher Melcombe, Dorset

The Dorset Gap is on the Wessex Ridgeway and is reminiscent of Thomas Hardy's landscape. When painting in this I can almost imagine Tess driving her cart to Market in Dorchester from Marnhull or Jude ambling along.
